    Collection history unknown; possibly owned by Two Strike (Sicangu Lakota, ca. 1821-1914); formerly in the collection of Florence Sutro Esberg (1887-1971, later Florence Sutro Anspacher and a noted patroness of the New York Theatre) or her mother Mrs. Lionel Sutro (Florentine Scholle Sutro, 1864-1939); donated to MAI in 1939 by Mrs. Esberg in memory of her mother.
