Produced while the artist worked at the Visual Arts Center of Alaska (Anchorage, Alaska); formerly in the collection of George Fedoroff (1906-2001, an IACB sculpture instructor); purchased by Indian Arts and Crafts Board representatives from Mr. Fedoroff in 1976; part of the IACB Headquarters collection (Department of the Interior, Washington, DC) until 2000 when it was transferred to NMAI.
