Description
The first dances are performed by Etnia, a group of Peruvians who live in the United States. They are dedicated to Andean instrumental music, using ancient musical instruments typical of the area of the Andes of Peru. In their repertoire they include dances like the Huayno and Valicha. Art Director: Victor Ruiz. These are followed by performances of the dance school, Raices y Expresiones. This group cultivates the learning process of dances from the mountains and forest of Peru. Their main performance is called Inti Raymi, a very famous ritual from the Andes. This performance was webcast from the Rasmuson Theater of the National Museum of the American Indian on August 2, 2014.
