- The museum's sixth annual Cherokee Days Festival brings together members from the three federally recognized Cherokee tribes (Cherokee Nation, United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians) to celebrate and share their culture, history, and arts with the public. In this video, seven young Cherokee women talk about their roles in representing Native American people. These include Miss Native America USA, Miss Cherokee Nation, Junior Miss Cherokee Nation, and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Miss Cherokee, Teen Miss Cherokee, Junior Miss Cherokee, and Little Miss Cherokee. This presentation was webcast and recorded in the Potomac Atrium of the National Museum of the American Indian on April 12, 2019.
