Collected by David W. Amram, Jr. (1901-1990, a self-trained archaeologist and cartographer who explored Chiapas and Guatemala in the 1930s); purchased by MAI from David Amram in 1934 using funds donated by George Heye's sister, Marie Heye Clemens (Mrs. James B. Clemens, 1869-1943).
