Queen Isabella II of Spain (1830-1904) during the World's Columbian Exposition (also called The Chicago World's Fair) in 1893 as a state gift; given by Queen Isabella to her envoy Carlos Sáenz de Tejada y Groizard (1865-1923) in gratitude for his service; inherited by his great-grandson Carlos Sáenz de Tejada y Benvenuti (ca. 1934-2012); purchased by MAI from Carlos Sáenz de Tejada y Benvenuti in 1968.
