Excavated in 1914 or 1915 by anthropologist William C. Farabee (1865-1925) during fieldwork for his employer, the Free Museum of Science/University Museum at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania); in the collection of the University Museum until 1918 when it was acquired by MAI through an exchange with the University Museum.
