Formerly owned by Rufina Rice (Cahuilla, ca. 1836-1924); given to her granddaughter Guadaloupe Arenas (Mrs. Lee Arenas, Cahuilla, 1881-1937) at an unknown date; collected from Guadaloupe Arenas in 1917 by Edward H. Davis (1862-1951, a rancher and field collector for MAI) during fieldwork sponsored by MAI.
