Probably collected by John S. Miller (1866-1917), a Florence, Arizona, miner who also worked for Dr. Jesse Walter Fewkes (1850-1930, an anthropologist with the U.S. Bureau of American Ethnology) during Fewkes' 1907 excavations at the nearby site of Casa Grande; purchased by Jesse Walter Fewkes from John S. Miller circa 1915; purchased by MAI from Jesse Walter Fewkes circa 1917.
