Talbot B. Hyde in August 1909 and lent to the University of Pennsylvania Museum (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) in conjunction with the George Heye collection there; purchased by George Heye from B. Talbot B. Hyde in February 1916 using funds donated by Thea (Mrs. George) Heye.
