Excavated by Frederic Ward Putnam during the summer of 1900; catalogued as part of the Hyde Collection at the American Museum of Natural History (New York City) at an unknown date; withdrawn from the AMNH collection by B. Talbot B. Hyde in August 1909 and lent to the University of Pennsylvania Museum (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) in conjunction with the George Heye collection there; purchased by George Heye from B. Talbot B. Hyde in February 1916 using funds donated by Thea (Mrs. George) Heye.
