Collection history unknown; formerly in the collection of Henry Draper; acquired by MAI in 1917. "Henry Draper" may refer to Harvard astronomer Henry W. Draper (1837-1882), who travelled to Wyoming and other western areas in 1878 to see a solar eclipse; following the death of his widow, Mary Anna Palmer Draper (1839-1914), Draper's collections were dispersed to New York museums.
