Collection history unknown, but said to have been collected or excavated by miners or looters in 1913; formerly in the collection of Edward Ledwidge (1870-1934, an El Paso, Texas, tax collector and prominent collector and dealer of Casas Grandes pottery); purchased by George Heye from Edward Ledwidge in 1915.
