Formerly in the collection of Senator Daniel K. Inouye (1924-2012, D-Hawaii) and received as a gift from Roger A. Jourdain (1912-2002, intermittently tribal chairman of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa in Minnesota between 1959 and 1990); donated to NMAI by Senator Inouye's widow Irene Hirano Inouye (1948-2020) in 2013.
