Collection History
Said to have been owned by the Menominee sub-chief Corrow (Vieux Caron [Old Corrow], died ca. 1780), but the individual referred to is probably his son Iometah (1772-1867), a sub-chief under the Menominee chief Oshkosh (1795-1858); inherited by Rosie Stone (possibly a daughter of Iometah's); purchased by MAI at an auction held by Hans Schulman (1913-1990, Schulman Coin & Mint, New York) in 1968.
