Collection History
Formerly in the collection of the Page and Schauffler families and possibly collected by Reverend Walter Clark Roe (1859-1913 ) or his wife Mary Wickham Roe (1863-1941), who served as missionaries in Colony, Oklahoma, between 1897 and 1913, or by Mrs. Roe's sister, Elizabeth Merwin Roe Page (Mrs. Alfred R. Page, 1861-1943), during visits to Oklahoma to visit the Roes and perform duties associated with her position as Field Secretary for the Women's Board of Domestic Missions of the Reformed Church in America (1903 to 1913); inherited by Mrs. Page's daughter, Marjorie Page Schauffler (Mrs. Bennet Fellows Schauffler, 1897-1983) and subsequently by her daughter Elizabeth "Jing" Schauffler Lyman (Mrs. Richard Wall Lyman, 1925-2013); donated to MAI by Mrs. Lyman in 1981.
