Collection history unknown; purchased by Helen Pep Grodka (1898-1982, an artist and Native American art enthusiast) from The Museum Shop, a book and antique shop in Mabton, Washington, owned by William L. Gannon (1919-1985), before 1967; acquired by MAI through an exchange with Helen Pep Grodka in 1967.
