Excavated by Maynard Allen Cramer (1892-1958, a forester and amateur archaeologist) between 1920 and 1940; maintained in the collection of his parents Wellington M. Cramer, Sr. (1870-1955) and Ida Dallas Cramer (1866-1960); inherited by Maynard Cramer’s brother Wellington M. Cramer, Jr. (1895-1969) and his wife Marjorie E. Cramer (1910-1985); lent to MAI by Marjorie Cramer in 1973; donated to MAI by Marjorie Cramer in 1976.
