Cheney (1836-1876, a professor at Southeast Missouri State University, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri); probably acquired by the Onondaga Historical Association (Syracuse, New York) from members of his family who lived in Syracuse; purchased by MAI from the Onondaga Historical Association in 1959.
