Collected between 1913 and 1916 by anthropologist William C. Farabee (1865-1925) during fieldwork funded by his employer, the Free Museum of Science/University Museum at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania); in the collection of the University Museum until 1932 when it was acquired by MAI through an exchange with the University Museum.
