Collection history unknown; purchased by George Heye for MAI in 1928 at an auction held by Andre Portier (1886-1963) and Fernand Lair-Dubreuil (1867-1931) at the Hôtel Drouot, in Paris, France, using funds donated by Thea (Mrs. George) Heye.
