Formerly owned by the Apsáalooke (Crow) Chief Arapoosh (Rotten Belly, 1795-1834); subsequently owned by Bull Tongue (Apsáalooke, ca. 1840-1921); inherited by Bull Tongue's widow, Catches on the Horses (Apsáalooke, ca. 1855-1931); collected from Mrs. Bull Tongue by anthropologist William (Willem) Wildschut (1883-1955) in 1923 during fieldwork sponsored by MAI.
