Collection history unknown; formerly owned and possibly collected by Charles E. Vandever (1848-1912, an Indian agent for the Navajo in the 1880s); inherited by his widow, Almira Eldora Vandever (1859-1953, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas); purchased by anthropologist Mark Raymond Harrington (1882-1971, MAI staff member) from Mrs. Vandever in 1922 during the MAI White River (Ozark) Expedition.
