Collection History
One in a series of drawings by the artist depicting his courtship of his wife; published in the September 9, 1894 St. Louis Post Dispatch (St. Louis, Missouri) when Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show visited the city; formerly in the collection of Joseph Keppler, Jr. (1872-1956, a long-time friend of George Heye); donated to MAI by Joseph Keppler in 1922.
