According to the radio's archive, tape one is an "examination of the living conditions at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, the functions of the Tribal Council, and the role of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Includes statements by Mildred Galligo, Treasurer of the Rapid City chapter of the American Indian Movement (AIM); AIM attorney Ramon Roubideaux; Hobart Keith, a member of the Pine Ridge tribal council and supporter of ousting Richard Wilson; and Carter Camp, co-director of AIM."
