Scope and Contents: A colored slide which is a photographic still from the film "Hopi." View of Butterfly Girl and Sun-on-Rising, portrayed by Quoyavema (Riley Sunrise) perched on a wall afer they are married on the Hopi Reservation, Arizona. They are both wrapped in blankets and Butterfly Girl no longer wears her hear in a Butterfly coif. The blankets and garments were borrowed from several museum collections for the filming. Plate LIII in "Rhythm for Rain."

Series Restrictions: At least one photograph has been restricted for cultural sensitivity. Additional consultation with the Hopi community is needed.
