- This collection includes eleven photographs taken by Jesse C. Clarke in 1915 of pictographs in Nevada.
- Biographical / Historical
- Jesse Cecil Clarke (1876-1932) was the first Custodian of Wupatki National Monument in Arizona. Custodians oversaw protected areas before the National Park Service was created. Later, custodians became the head park rangers, overseeing specialized training for personnel and managing care for monuments.
